Welcome to the High Land Beekeeping Club

We are sponsored by Lockheed Martin in the Southwest Denver metro-area.  We have a "Sister Bee club" for our non-Lockheed Martin beekeeper friends - the Metro and South Denver Beekeeper's Association.  But are really one big happy family of Brother & Sister Bee Guardians, so you don't have to work at Lockheed Martin to join!!

Annual dues for 2009 are $20.00 for singles, couples, and families.  So if you have 20 in your family, it's $20.00 - a real bargain.  Singles - sorry, you're richer and you're gypped - still $20.00.  We'll try to only ask for dues in the years that we need something.  This year we're buying an extractor.

We generally meet on the third Thursday of the month, times have changed and are now from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm - March & April will be Fridays, check the calendar.  MEETING LOCATION now Roxborough Park Adminstration & Community Building, 6237 Roxborough Drive, Littleton CO 80125.  Bee good stewards and obey all posted limits & signs!

The "Beekeepers Book Mobile" is in our club cabinet at the Lockheed Martin Sports Complex Club House!!

During our monthly meeting we have light refreshments and an informational guest speaker, as well as conduct club business, including "BEE TRIVIA"!

During Bee Season (late April through Honey Harvest in early September), a group usually works our LM sponsored Bee Yard (Apiary) on Wednesdays between 5:30pm & 7:00 pm.  We also have other bee yards scattered around the South-Western Jefferson County & North Western Douglas County areas.

Wondering when our "bee season" might be?  Check out the Honeybee Weather page.  Wondering what is blooming through the year in our area?  Check out the Hudson Gardens Bloom Calendar!
