High Land Beekeeping Club and 2013!
We serve the communities of the Southwest Denver metro-area. Our Mission is to further an understanding about the importance of honeybees and to help develop beekeeping skills & experiences in becoming Bee Guardians!! We have a club "honey house" and club extractor for club members use - schedule a training session so you can take advantage of this valuable resource.
We meet on the third Thursday of the month, times are from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm (except for November & December when we meet on the SECOND Thursday of those months) at the Roxborough Park Adminstration & Community Building, 6237 Roxborough Drive, Littleton CO 80125. Bee good stewards and obey all posted limits & signs! All levels of beekeeping interest and experience are welcome.
The club "Beekeepers Mobile Library" is brought to Thursday club meetings by the club librarian - check it out!
During our monthly meeting we have light refreshments, discuss topics of interest and usually have an informational guest speaker or presentation, as well as conduct club business. As always please bring a dish, snack, or something to share.

Wondering when our "bee season" might be? Check out the Honeybee Weather page. Wondering what is blooming through the year in our area? Check out the Hudson Gardens Bloom Calendar! Wondering what a local beekeeping year might look like? Check out our Bee Wranglers Calendar page.
Members are willing to Mentor 4H / Scout Beekeeping Projects!!
Because we have links to both Bee Culture and American Bee Journal below, when you subscribe to either of them, bee sure to mention you are an HLBKClub member, it's good for a small discount after the order is completed and billing done. If they contact us for verification of membership (in good standing with dues paid), we let them know, they ask every now and again about individuals - hey we only fib about how much honey we get each season, nothing else!
Check out our HLBKClub Yahoo Group : http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HLBKClub . Ask questions, get information, supply what you know. Anyone can jump on. You do have to get a log on and password to use the site but it's a great resource and everyone should give it a try!
