Highlands First Aid Squad
Join a group of dedicated volunteers serving their community and helping neighbors in their time of need. Being a member of the Highlands First Aid Squad is a rewarding experience. Membership is open to all Highlands residents as well as residents of Sea Bright and Atlantic Highlands.
Requirements:
18 years old to become a Regular Member. There is no age limit.
16 years old to become a Cadet.
Training:
8 hour American Heart Association Healthcare Care Provider course.
8 hour emergency vehicle operator course.
120 hour Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT-B) course.
Duty Requirements:
1 duty night a week on a rotating basis from Sunday through Thursday. The hours are from 11 PM until 6 AM.
Meetings:
1 required monthly meeting.
Throughout the year there are many special events, parades, dinners that members are invited to attend.
