Here's what's been happening in our world of late.
Recent Travels
We returned fn April from 10 fabulous days in Spain. We shot 30 rolls of film, and had an absolutely marvelous time. In the weeks and months to come we will be posting a page with info and photos from this wonderful adventure. On a scale of 1 to 10, Spain is a 15!! I shot 30 rolls of film in 10 days!
Over the Christmas / New Years (2000) vacation we went to Hawaii's Big Island for 10 days. We shot only 15 rolls of film. but this is in no way indicative of the great time we had. This is a "must do" trip. Those who have been, know what I am talking about. For the others, we have posted a web page chronicling this trip shortly. The page is incomplete, but worth a quick visit if you wish.
We returned in August of 2001 from Fiji, New Zealand, and Australia, where we spent 4 1/2 weeks .This was an absolutely marvelous vacation. A page about this trip along with photos is in the offing.
We had planned to travel to Cuba for 10 days in December, but due to the recent federal crackdown on Americans visiting Cuba, and the rather severe associated penalties, we cancelled our trip, and spent new Year's Eve in the US for the first time since 1997. I don't plan to let this happen again!!
Upcoming
We are off in April for Greece for 9 days. We will spend 3 days in Athens, and 5 days cruising in the Greek Isles.

Africa has called again, as I always knew it would. Since our first safari to Kenya and Tanzania in 1998, I knew we would return to Africa. We are leaving in July for 22 days in Botswana (Okavango Delta), Zimbabwe, and South Africa. Our original safari in 1998 was a present to myself to celebrate my 50th birthday. I had expected to return for my 55th. I am going to be a full year early! Life is too short to wait, so back to the "Dark Continent" for the 4th time.
Other Stuff
To say the least life has been hectic, as we have spent the last 6 month remodeling our home. I (Howie) handled the technical (left brain) stuff, and Nancy did all the (right brain) designing, picking out all the materials and furniture, etc. The place looks just great, and we really are enjoying it.
I (Howie) have just returned to the High Technology workforce after 6 1/2 months of not working. Was I unemployed or retired?? Not sure - but I certainly enjoyed it! Check out my new gig at TimeSys Corporation.
We continue to spend our free time enjoying the "arts" and the local Jazz scene, and have had the good fortune to have seen many fine entertainers in the past few months.
BTW, the last photo posting to the web is from the summer of 2000 (see below), but the "plan" (as always) is to update the site in the weeks and months to come. Please visit from time to time.
