Gene McMullen took 1st place at the 6th Annual Didier Farms Weigh-Off! (2005)
His 1032 lb. pumpkin was the first 1000 pounder to be grown and weighed in the state of Illinois.
The pumpkin is the third biggest pumpkin ever grown in Illinois.

LEARN FROM THE BEST GROWERS IN THE STATE OF ILLINOIS!

The Illinois Giant Pumpkin Growers' Association or I.G.P.G A. is first and foremost an association of gardeners. Our purpose is to promote and encourage the hobby of gardening with emphasis placed on the fun of competition and the production of GIANT healthy vegetables. The vegetable of main concern will be the pumpkin, however, we will share growing tips on all vegetables.

We will, to the best of our ability, treat each and every member equally and fairly.
We will listen to concerns of our members and strive for resolutions to problems.
We will continue to improve our organization for the benefit of our members.
We will share gardening tips and information and help to encourage new members and new gardeners.
We will encourage individuals and families to enjoy gardening together.
The hobby of gardening should be fulfilling, rewarding, and above all fun for everyone involved.

This is our intent and our mission. To conclude this introduction to the IGPGA we offer an invitation. The annual fees and entitlements are laid out on the Join the IGPGA page.

2005-06-28 : I've been quite busy lately, so I haven't gotten around to updating the Members section yet. Hopefully, I'll get around to it some time this week.

2005-06-20 : WELCOME TO IGPGA ONLINE 2.0! Whew! It's finally done! Let me know what you think by visiting the message board or by sending me an email at webmaster@igpga.org. The Members Only section will be updated within the next few days. Sorry about the lag.

2005-05-24 : JavaScript pop up ads are now being added to the site. This is only a temporary solution to the advertisement issue. I plan to integrate ads directly into the HTML in the future, perhaps after the upcoming code revamp. On that topic - please send all design comments to the Webmaster ASAP!
