Annual Anubias Cutback

After a year or so of "slow" growth, my Anubias plants basically had taken total control of the tank. Unfortunately I did not take any shots of the tank with all the plants in there. But I think you'll get the idea. These started out in the spring of 2003 with two fairly large A. frazeri, two largish A. coffeefolia, and what Peter Jung at azgardens.com described as a Monster Mother A. nana. After taking out all the plant material, it is hard to imagine it all being in the tank. I also was able to recover a nice sized Java fern plant from the bits interspersed with the Anubias roots. I kept all of that and attached it to a piece of drift wood. I kept about 20 percent of the Anubias plant material for replant in the tank. The rest is looking for a new home.
