Laura Heimes, soprano


Soprano Laura Heimes, praised for her “sumptuous tone and shimmering clarity” and hailed for “a voice equally velvety up and down the registers,” is widely regarded as an artist of great versatility, with repertoire ranging from the Renaissance to the 21st century. 

Ms. Heimes collaborates with many of the leading figures in early music: recent highlights include concerts with Chatham Baroque (Pittsburgh, PA and the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC), Brandywine Baroque (Wilmington, DE), Piffaro—The Renaissance Band, Monteverdi Vespers with the Choral Arts Society of Philadelphia, and Acis and Galatea with New York State Baroque (Ithaca, NY).  Ms. Heimes can be heard on many recordings; her most recent are The Jane Austen Songbook (Nov. 2004) with Julianne Baird, and Caldara's Il Giuoco del Quadriglio, conducted by Stephen Altop (Sept. 2004),  A resident of Hamilton Square, NJ, Ms. Heimes holds Master of Music degrees from Temple University.
