Elissa Wagman
Boston-based violinist Elissa Wagman has performed with period ensembles throughout the East Coast, including Brandywine Baroque and The Publick Musick. She studied baroque violin with Marilyn McDonald at the Oberlin Baroque Performance Institute. As a modern violinist, Elissa has performed with orchestras around the country, including the Chicago Civic Orchestra, Rochester Philharmonic, and the Grant Park Orchestra. She is currently a member of the Portland, Maine and Springfield, Massachusetts symphonies. She did her undergraduate music studies at Oberlin Conservatory and Rice University, and holds a master's degree and performance certificate from the Eastman School of Music. An arts journalist and music critic as well, Ms. Wagman’s articles and reviews have appeared in numerous newspapers, including the Chicago Tribune.
