Nellie Rachel Butler, daughter of William, was born on August 31, 1903 at Ravenna, Nebraska. She died at the age of fifty-six on January 3, 1960 at Denver, Colorado. Nellie was buried on January 6, 1960 at Callaway, Nebraska. Having graduated from State Teachers College at Kearney, Nebraska and from Denver University, Nellie taught school for thirty-five years. She was the principal of Barr Lake School District 27 of Brighton, Colorado. She was a member of the Episcopal Church at Stapleton, Nebraska. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and Naomi Rebakak Lodge at Kearney, Nebraska.
Nellie married on September 22, 1924 at Hot Springs, South Dakota to William Rankin Young, son of Everett Havelock Young and Annie Rankin. William was born on January 10, 1901 at Bangor, Maine. He died in October 1975 at Gothenburg, Nebraska. However, his tombstone in Rose Hill Cemetery at Callaway tells us that William was born on January 10, 1902 and died on October 19, 1976. It also tells us that William served in the United States Navy during World War II with the rank of Ensign First Class. The Social Security Death Index indicates that William was born on January 10, 1902 and died in October of 1976. William was a barber by profession.
Nellie and William had two children.
- Bonnie Bell Young was born on June 6, 1925 at Westwood, California. Bonnie attended Miss Atkinson School and George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She worked for the FBI as a technician.
Bonnie married on December 1, 1945 at Oberlin, Kansas to Calvin LeRoy Frey, son of Harry R. Frey and Eva Dickinson. Calvin was born on July 14, 1924 at Merna, Nebraska. Calvin served in the 80th. Fighter Group of the 10th. Air Force having been stationed in China, Burma and India during the Second WorldWar. He was a sergeant. Calvin was a farmer by profession.

- William Rankin Young, Jr was born on February 16, 1927 at Callaway, Nebraska. He died on June 12, 1968 at Denver, Colorado having been struck by lightening. He was buried on June 16, 1968 in Fort Logan Cemetery at Denver, Colorado. William apparently served in the United States Navy. He was a brakeman for the Burlington-Quincy Railroad.
William married on April 14, 1950 at Central City, Colorado to Ellen Higgins, daughter of John M. Higgins and Mildred Withers. Ellen was born on February 28, 1930 at Atkinson, Nebraska. Ellen is a teacher at the Lathrop School for Boys at Walsenburg, Colorado.
William and Ellen had seven children.
- William Rankin Young, III. He is a warehouseman for KWAL paint shops.
- Diane DeMaris Young. She married on September 7, 19?? at Fort Morgan, Nebraska to Mark E. McKinna. Mark
is the deputy warden at the Fremont Correctional Facility at Canon City, Colorado.
Diane and Mark have two children.
- Bonny Dowd McKinna.
- Scott Holden McKinna.
- Vanessa Anne Young was born on November 22, 1953 at McCook, Nebraska. She is the manager of an auto parts store.
- Charles Everett Young was born on January 30, 1954 at McCook, Nebraska. He married Mary Wright. They were divorced.
Charles and Mary have one child.
- Teresa Young.
- Sara Ellen Young. She married on March 30, 1984 in Hawaii to Dwayne Ernest.
- Rachel Eugenia Young. She married in December of 1978 to Jeff Rolling.
Rachel and Jeff have two children.
- Christopher Rolling.
