Harry LeRoy Gruss, son of Leonard, was born at St. Joseph, Michigan. He was a member of the Congregation of the Priests of the Sacred Heart from September of 1962 to June of 1967. Harry worked as a machinist for one year at New Products Corporation in Benton Harbor, Michigan. In September of 1968 he and Jacinta moved to East Hartford, Connecticut where he began his career as a contract analyst for The Travelers Insurance Companies, which was later sold to form The MetraHealth Insurance Company. The latter company was sold to United HealthCare Corporation.
Harry married on March 16, 1968 at St. John Catholic Church in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Jacinta Camacho, daughter of Leocadio Camacho and Sinforosa Frias. The witnesses to their marriage were Alma Gruss, Harry's sister, and Charles Rothrock, Harry's brother-in-law. Jacinta was born at San Felipe, Guanajuato, Mexico. She came to America in 1958 settling in Chicago, Illinois. Jacinta worked as a nurse's aid at St. Mary Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and Memorial Hospital in St. Joseph, Michigan. She became a naturalized citizen of the United States at Hartford, Connecticut on May 11, 1973.
Harry and Jacinta purchased their home at 4 Cottage Street in East Hartford, Connecticut in October of 1977.
Harry and Jacinta have three children.
Harry LeRoy Gruss, Jr. was born at Hartford, Connecticut. He graduated from East Hartford High School in June of 1986. After high school, he attended the University of Connecticut and the Morse School of business. He received a degree in Microcomputer Repair in February of 1990. He then attended Manchester Community-Technical College where he received a degree in Marketing in June of 1993. He is presently working at OFI Contract Interiors in Newington, Connecticut as an Vice President Client Development. He is an avid baseball card collector and a New York Yankees fan.
Harry has one child.
Cynthia Alice Gruss was born at Hartford, Connecticut. She graduated from East Hartford High School in June of 1989. She graduated on May 15, 1993 from Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire with a bachelor of science degree in physical education with a sport medicine option. She graduated in June of 1995 from The University of New Haven in West Haven, Connecticut with a masters degree in business administration with a health care management option. She is working as an athletic trainer for Valley Physical Therapy in Connecticut. She has been certified as an athletic trainer by The National Athletic Trainers' Association. Cindy is currently pursuing a masters degree in holistic nutrition through Clayton College of Natural Health.
Cynthia married on August 14, 2004 in Saint Pius X Catholic Church in Middletown, Connecticut to William Rene Foster, son of William Foster and Susan Christopher. They were divorced on September 2, 2008.
Patrick Jeffrey Gruss was born at Hartford, Connecticut. He graduated from East Hartford High School in June of 1995. He graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University on May 21, 2000, having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design. Patrick began his career with Foxwoods Resort Casino and is a freelance video editor.
Patrick married on December 31, 2004 in Mystic, Connecticut to Jennifer Jenell Henry, daughter of Michael Dale Henry and Juanita Martinez. Jennifer was born in Galveston, Texas. They were divorce on August 12, 2009.
Patrick and Jennifer have one child.
