Andrew Joseph Gruss, son of Henry, was born on June 6, 1908 at Benton Harbor, Michigan. He died on September 16, 1991 at Berrien Springs, Michigan. He was buried on September 19, 1991 in North Shore Memory Gardens at Hagar Shore, Michigan. Andrew was a printer by profession having worked as a pressman for Remington Rand Inc., Davidson Co. and Burch Printers. His hobby was raising and breeding tropical fish.

Andrew married on July 11, 1933 at Benton Harbor, Michigan to Zona Nina Rea, daughter of Judson Albert Rea and Nina Remington. Zona was born on April 5, 1913 at Breedsville, Michigan. She died on April 8, 1998 at Berrien Springs, Michigan and was buried on April 13, 1998 in North Shore Memory Gardens at Hagar Shore, Michigan. She worked as a bookkeeper for S.S. Kresge Co., an inspector at Remington Rand Inc., and a secretary/clerk for the Berrien County Register of Deeds Office.

Andrew and Zona had three children.
  1. Robert Louis Gruss was born at Benton Harbor, Michigan. Before retiring, he was a printer by profession having worked at Burch Printing as a pressman, assistant foreman and foreman. Prior to entering the printing trade, Robert worked as a stockman for S. S. Kresge. Robert served in the United States navy.

    Robert married on July 13, 1957 at Watervliet, Michigan to Bonnie Hoadley, daughter of Carl Hoadley and Adelaine Selter. Bonnie was born at Watervliet, Michigan.

    Robert and Bonnie had two children.

    1. Robert Louis Gruss, Jr was born at St. Joseph, Michigan.

      Robert married on July 4, 1987 at Monticello, Indiana to Cathy Ann Bowman, daughter of Austin Bowman and Billie Ann Caldwell. She was born at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

      Robert and Cathy have one child.

      1. Megan Marie Gruss who was born at Greenfield, Indiana.
    2. Patricia Ann Gruss was born at St. Joseph, Michigan. She is an Account Administrator in the Trust and Investment Management Department of a local bank.

      Patricia married on May 5, 1979 at the First Church of the Nazarene in St. Joseph , Michigan to Michael Lynn Keith, son of Elton Keith and Glenda Bell. He is a plant manager.

      Patricia and Michael have two children.

      1. Jodie Lyn Keith who was born at St. Joseph, Michigan.

        Jodie married on December 6, 2005 at St. Augustine Cathedral in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Michael Anthony Perrin.

        Jodie and Michael have one child.

        1. Natalia Antonia Rose Perrin was born at Kalamazoo, Michigan.
        2. Nicholas Anthony Perrin was born at Kalamazoo, Michigan.
      2. Kevin Michael Keith who was born at Berrien Springs, Michigan. He is attending Eastern Michigan University where he is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in music education.
  2. Janice Cecil Gruss was born at Benton Harbor, Michigan. She graduated from St. John's High School and worked for The Whirlpool Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan.

    Janice married Edward R. Hemerling, Jr., son of Edward R. Hemerling, Sr. at St. Peter's Evangelical and Reformed Church in St. Joseph, Michigan on September 5, 1959. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School and also worked for The Whirlpool Corporation.

    Janice and Edward had two children both of whom were born at St. Joseph, Michigan.

    1. Sheryl Ann Hemerling who presently is the property manager at Cypress Head in Parkland, Florida.
    2. Scott Allen Hemerling who presently is the National Press Representative for Disney's The Lion King.
  3. Patricia Ann Gruss who was born and died on May 19, 1940 at Benton Harbor, Michigan.
