Margaret Hennes, daughter of Peter, was born on September 18, 1841 at Silberberg, Germany. Two nicknames have been given for Margaret; Maggie and Grete. She was baptized on September 19, 1841. Her godparents were Jacob Hennes, son of Mathias Hennes and Elisabeth Malampre, and Margaret Hostert, daughter of Joannes Hostert and Marie Rossler. Margaret died on January 12, 1876 at Lemont, Illinois.

Margaret married Peter Dockendorf on June 7, 1860 presumably at Lemont, Illinois. Peter was born on February 24, 1834 in Dockendorf, Germany. One researcher tells us that Peter's parents were Christian Dockendorf and Elisabeth schmitt. Peter was born on February 24, 1834 in Dockendorf, Bitburg-Prüm, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The 1910 United States census gave February of 1835 as the month/year of his birth. Based on his age at the time of his death, Peter was born in 1834. He died at the age of seventy-one from dropsy on June 16, 1905 at Lemont, Illinois. He was buried on June 19, 1905 in St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery at Lemont. In 1870 Peter was a farmer. In 1880, Peter was a saloonkeeper. One researcher indicated that Peter owned three beer taverns, two grocery stores and several rooming homes. According to the 1910 United States census, Peter came to America in 1860.

According to the 1870 and 1880 United States census returns, Margaret and Peter had seven children.

Based upon information contained in his son’s World War II draft registration card, it appears that Mathias’ middle name was Anthony. In 1900 and 1910, Mathias was a saloonkeeper.

Mathias married Mary Tintes, daughter of Albert Tintes and Magdalena Klassen, on November 27, 1883 in Chicago, Illinois. Mary was born on July 11, 1863 at Chicago, Illinois. It appears that Mary died on October 13, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois
