Mathias Hennes and Elizabetha Malampre's Family

Mathias Hennes, son of John, was born and baptized on June 7, 1784 at Holsthum, Germany. He died on September 18, 1849 at Ernzen. He was buried there on September 20, 1849. Mathias was a day laborer (operarius). He appears to have known how to write as he signed his marriage records.

Mathias married on January 9, 1809 in Saint Mark's Catholic Church at Ernzen, Germany to Elizabeth Malampre, daughter of Gerard Malampre and Barbara Bisdarff.

Elizabeth was baptized on April 19, 1780 in the Catholic Church at Echternach, Luxembourg. She died on October 11, 1860 at Ernzen, Germany. She was buried there on October 13, 1860. She was eighty years of age. Elizabeth must not have known how to write as she only made her mrk on her marriage records.

Mathias and Elizabeth had eight children. All of the children were born in Ernzen, Germany. They were all baptized in Saint Mark's Catholic Church.

1. Magdalena Hennes was born on August 26, 1808.
2. Peter Hennes was born on March 1, 1811. He died on March 6, 1903 at Lemont, Illinois.
3. Jacob Hennes was born on January 24, 1813. He died on December 24, 1892 at Ernzen.
4. Francis Hennes was born and baptized on October 9, 1815. Francis died on June 27, 1883 at Ernzen.
5. Michael Hennes was born on September 30, 1818. He was baptized on October 1, 1818.
6. Elizabeth Hennes was born on April 6, 1822. She was baptized on April 7, 1822. Elisabeth died on April 11, 1880 at Ernzen. She was buried there on April 15, 1880.
7. Catherine Hennes was born on August 11, 1824. She was baptized on August 12, 1824. Catherine died on November 29, 1824 at Ernzen, Germany.
8. Catherine Hennes was born and baptized on January 24, 1827. She died on January 19, 1829 at Ernzen, Germany.
