Anne Catherine Hennes and Antoine Welter's Family

Anne Catherine Hennes, daughter of John, was born and baptized on May 14, 1779 at Holsthum, Germany. Her godparents were Mathias Muhler and Anna Catharine Scherolen. She died on March 9, 1845 at Ernzen, Germany and was buried there on March 11, 1945. From the various records reviewed, it appears that Anna Catherine was not able to write.

Anna Catherine married in 1803 to Antoine Welter. He was a day laborer (operarius) by profession. Antoine died on January 26, 1849 at Ernzen, Germany and was buried there on January 28, 1849. It appears that Antoine was not able to write as he only made his mark on the baptismal registration of his children.

Anna Catherine and Antoine had five children, all of whom were born at Ernzen, Germany.

1. Margaret Welter married Peter Steil on February 23 1846.
2. Elisabeth Welter was born and baptized on January 30, 1807. Her godfather was Dominic Prommenschenckel. She married Hubert Wayman.
3. Catherine Welter was born and baptized on July 21, 1810. Her godparents were Antoine Schmitz and Catherine Hennes. She appears to have died on December 15, 1815 at Ernzen, Germany.
4. Peter Welter was born and baptized on April 4, 1814. His godparents were Peter Klein and Helena Claussen. He died at Ernzen, Germany on February 3, 1815.
5. Peter Welter was born and baptized on April 10, 1817. His godparents were Peter Mertes and Elisabeth Malampre. He died on May 12, 1819 at Ernzen, Germany.
6. Anna Marie Welter was born on April 3, 1822. She was baptized on April 4, 1822.
