Richard Flack and Elizabeth Pollendine's Family
Richard Flack, son of Robert Flack and Sarah Raymont was christened on
June 1, 1801. He was probably born about 1800 at Bottisham, England. He died
in August 1876 at Bottisham, England. He was a blacksmith by profession. In
various overseers rate books for the period 1800 to 1831, Richard was assessed
for land, a house and a cottage in Lode.
Richard married by banns at Bottisham, England on December 30, 1824 to Elizabeth
Pollendine, daughter of Samuel Pollendine and Charlotte Orble. The witnesses
to their marriage were: John Flack, Ann Flack and Phebe Shilduck. Elizabeth
was born about 1801 at Gazeley, England. She died in February 1877 at
Bottisham, England. She worked as a laundress.
Richard and Elizabeth had eight children, all of whom were born at Bottisham,
England.

- Sarah Ann Flack who was born on September 9, 1834. She was christened on
September 14, 1834. She died on September 27, 1834 at Bottisham, England.
- Elizabeth Flack who was born on September 10, 1835. She was christened on
October 10, 1835. She died on March 27, 1841 at Bottisham, England.
- Sarah Ann Flack who was born on May 22, 1840. She
died on February 25, 1907 at Deckerville, Michigan.
- Mary Ann Elizabeth Flack who was born on April 10, 1846. She married on
September 24, 1867 at Bottisham, England to King William Fletcher, son of
William Fletcher and Ann Butler.
