Simon Vogel, son of Joseph, died on December 9, 1750 at Elsenheim, France. He may
have been born at Hagenos. Simon was a hired servant.
Simon first married on February 5, 1725 at Elsenheim, France to Barbara Hertzog, daughter
of Jacob Hertzog and Anne Marie Hildebrand. There are indications that she was born
March 15, 1696 at Elsenheim, France. She died prior to 1746.
Simon and Barbara had five children, all of whom were born at Elsenheim, France.
- Marie Elisabeth Vogel was born and baptized on October 28, 1725.
- Jean Vogel was born on December 10, 1727. He was baptized on December 19, 1727.
- Marie Jeanne Vogel was born on May 20, 1730. She was baptized on May 21, 1730. She died at
Elsenheim, France on October 5, 1734.
- Marie Barbara Vogel was born on January 25, 1733. She was baptized on January 26, 1733.
- Thomas Vogel was born and baptized on December 18, 1735. He married on July 20, 1780 at
Grussenheim, France to Rosalie Muller, daughter of George Muller and Magdelena Vogel.
Simon married for the second time at Elsenheim, France on August 22, 1746 to Magdalena Roesser,
a widow. Magdalena died on November 6, 1770 at Elsenheim, France.
Simon and Magdalena had two children, both of whom were born at Elsenheim, France.
- Ludwig Vogel who was born on August 15, 1747 at Elsenheim, France.
He died on April 8, 1805 at Elsenheim, France.
- Anne Marie Vogel who was born on November 22, 1748. She was baptized the same day in
the Catholic Church at Elsenheim, France.
