Current Workout - Updated 5/31/2004
Been awhile since I updated this page.
Background: immediately following the AAU meet in November, Sharon went in for a hysterectomy.
She was healing well until Christmas day, when she had a "relapse". Not to get too detailed, but internally some stitches popped. She had emergency surgery that day.
So, she wasn't able to pick up a weight until March. 4 months of no lifting. Started back very light, fullbody workouts. After six or so weeks, she decided she wanted to do the AAU Raw Nationals in May. We took 5 weeks to gradually ramp back up to her doing semi-max weights.
The results of the meet are here. She did awesome, and basically is back to the same strength levels she was last November.
Trying out Christian Thibaudeau's Pendulum Training for Powerlifting. Because she works out in the garage, we had to substitute some different exercises.
We'll give this routine 3 cycles thru, and assess her progress then.
