Gloria McArdle
Gloria has been a parishioner of Holy
Spirit Church since 1958, when she moved to Perth Amboy from New
York City with her husband, John. Gloria is a graduate of St.
Patrick's Cathedral H.S. in New York City. Gloria and John are the
parents of five daughters and the proud grandparents of 11
grandchildren (eight of which are boys). Gloria’s daughters all
graduated from Holy Spirit School, received First Communion and

that her family has a long time attachment to this parish. She has
been the secretary of Holy Spirit Parish since June 1, 1992 and is
one of the very few fortunate people who can honestly say they love
their job. As part of her duties as secretary, she compiles the
weekly bulletin, schedules Masses, issues copies of Sacramental
Certificates, pays the bills, offers support to the various parish
organizations and does whatever else is necessary in the daily
operation of the parish office. If there is anything you need from
the office, please never hesitate to call Gloria. She is available
during office hours, which run 9 - 12 noon and 1 - 4 pm on Monday
through Friday. (No Friday hours during the summer months.)
