BRETT'S AIRPLANE FACTORY
My first R/C airplane, a Sterling Profile "Me- 109", bought in 1970. Rebuilt in 1982 and sucessfully flown for the first time in 1985. It has a foam wing and a balsa plank fuselage. This pic is after the rebuild without the canopy. It is still in flying condition.

Dec. 1971 - Mother gave Dad this Lanier "P51 Sport" for Christmas. I completed building it in October 1997. I added 18 oz of lead over the fuel tank to get it balanced where I thought it should balance. The first flight was Oct 20, 1997. I reduced the amount of lead on the 2nd thru the 5th flights until it had only 4 oz left. The plane was destroyed on June 26, 2004 when it went straight in from about 200 feet. The cause of the crash is unknown.

Oct. 1982 - After learning to fly with a Pilot Trystar ARF and a all foam Midwest Cessna Cardinal I built my first balsa and ply kit, a DeBolt "Jenny" that my dad had gotten several years earlier. Covered with monokote using a clothes iron. After several flights & rough landings the wing broke in flight and the Jenny was destroyed. I saved enough parts to build another one some day.
