Remote Controls for Your Swimming Pool or Hot Tub

Pool and spa remotes are much like the ones that control your television. With them, you can do such things such as heating up the hot tub before going outside to get in. Waterproof remotes can float around in the pool or hot tub with you. This can be convenient if you have a stereo system, lights, etc. that you would like to be able to operate without getting in and out of the pool.

Types of Remote Controls

Wireless Controls

Wireless controls work like other wireless technology, sending a radio signal to the receiver. You do not need line of sight for these remotes. They usually operate on battery power. Some types use household electrical currents. Some new wireless remotes can be operated via the telephone. You can call up your hot tub and make sure it's ready for you when you get home.

Air Switches

Air switches are very simple remote controls. They are attached to the device through a hose. Compressed air in the hose is used to activate the appliance, by pressing a switch at one end of the remote.
