Swimming pool lounges have come a long way from the inner tubes and flimsy air mattresses we used as kids. Today, you can get sturdy pool lounges for couples or singles, complete with drink holders. Zippered storage compartments give you a place to store suntan lotion, sun visor, or even a magazine. Many pool lounges come with adjustable backrest that can be lowered by letting out some air, so you can recline or sit up with back support. Some even have inflatable foot rests, so you can prop up your sore dogs while you work on your tan. If you don't want to float all over the pool, but would prefer to keep cool in your favorite corner, you might also look into a water hammock.
