Changes for 2012
Bulk Pickup:
Due to increased costs, Dupont Borough will no longer provide the service of bulk pickups for cleanout projects. Residents can use one of two options:
(1) Rental of a Dumpster
(2) Purchase of a bagster at Lowe's or Home Depot. Bagsters can hold up to 3500 pounds.
Once filled, residents contact Waste Management to schedule a pickup. Bagster cost and disposal fees are the responsibility of the resident.

Appliances/Replacement Items:
The Borough understands the need to replace certain appliances or household furniture items. Residents are asked to inquire with the vendor supplying the new appliance or furniture whether they provide disposal. If not, a ten dollar ($10.00) bulk sticker can be purchased at the borough office and placed on the item for curbside pickup.

Yard Waste Management:
New rules and regulations for curbside collection of yard waste. Yard waste picked up curbside on Tuesdays will be limited to grass, leaves and small trimmings, and must be in open containers for curbside pickup. These items will be taken and processed at the compost facility within the Borough.
Other clean fill material such as Ashes, Dirt, Stone, Rock, etc., will be picked up on Fridays. Please remember the weight limit for containers which must be lifted and loaded into our dump trucks, is thirty (30) pounds.

Larger lawn renovations projects, tree removal, stumps and large limbs will require special removal by the contractor. The Borough is concidering continuing the truck rental for property owners to load larger project material for a fee. Contact the borough office for more information.

Storm Drains
We ask residents to cooperate with the borough in keeping all storm drains around their properties free and clear of leaves and other debris to avoid any drainage problems.

Regional Compost Facility
Please Note:
The Regional Compost Facility will be open to municipal vehicles only for drop off. Dupont is planning to offer mulch and compost material to its residents, however, arrangements have not been set as of yet. Feel free to contact the borough office with any questions or concerns.
Our goal is to serve the residents of the Borough and Businesses that pay the yearly refuse collection fee and display the proper window sticker.

Thank You for your cooperation.
