Why These Guild Colors?
Cu Cuchulain's colors were Crimson red and black, bound with a golden Brooch. For this reason I have chosen crimson red and golden yellow as the colors for our emblem. The choice of icons was fairly sparse, and I find it unbelievable, that there were no images of hounds or wolves to choose from. As a compromise I chose the sword icon, since Cu Cuchulain was a legendary warrior (and there also were not any spear icons, which was his chosen weapon.)
When can I wear the Guild Emblem?
Any player who has attained level 20 or 400+ crafting skill will be able to wear an emblem, except for Rank 9. Rank 9's are new recruits and have not been in the guild long enough or have not shown enough team playing to wear the emblem. This is perhaps the first reward for good team playing, a promotion to Rank 8 so the player can wear the guild emblem. In order to get your emblem for your cloak or shield, go to Tir Na Nog and go into the palace. You will see the Guild Emblemeer standing in the hall. Hand him the item you want him to Emblazon and pay him the 5gp fee.
Guild Dye Colors
I urge all guild members to wear the colors of our guild to make it easy to identify each other (especially in RvR), and to inspire pride in our guild. Lower level characters are encouraged to wear our colors, but Officers are required to, in order to set an example.
Of the available dye colors there are a few options. Sadly, the yellow dyes look terrible and don't really look yellow. Therefore, the guild colors will be grey's and reds. See the list below:
The cheap dyes are:
Red (28sp)
Dark Grey (1gp, 30sp)
|
I would prefer officers to wear:
Red (28sp) or Crimson (30gp)
Charcoal (6gp)
|
Obviously, I can not expect people to put out large sums of money every time they change armor and clothing, this is why I tried to find a cheap color palette alternative. If you do not have the money to buy the dyes, ask me or one of the other officers, and we should be able to give you the money within a day or so. Of course, if you would prefer Black instead of charcoal, that is your choice (but it is an expensive one.) Also, feel free to dye your armor and clothing in any combination you like, just please use our guild colors.
