Guild Policies and Codes of Conduct

This guild was created to be an organized group of like minded players who are willing to help each other out and who want to have fun. The end goal for all of our guild members is to be a force which will be feared by the other realms, to this end we need to help each other out.

These policies can not be fairly enforced, but I offer them up as a guide for good team playing and comradery.

Need before Greed: If you are in a group and get a drop you can use, then by all means keep it. If you cannot use the drop for the character you are playing and somone else in the group can, give it to them. They fought the same mobs with you and helped you get it, they deserve it.

Group before Alternate/Friend: If you get a drop that you can't use but your alternate character can, and somone in the group can use it. Give it to them and let it be known that you would like any extra left over for your alternate. Once again, they fought for it and they deserve it. If no one can immediately use the drop with the characters that are present, then offer it up to lotto.

The lotto system varies, but this is the most common system:
Find out who wants it. If 2 people want it, then it's easy. Have them pick high or low. When the next mob is killed, the copper amount of the drop will determine who gets it (some people wait for the second bag of coins to decide but not all mobs drop 2 bags). If the copper drop is 1-50, then low gets it, 51-100 is high.
If more than 2 people want it, it usually comes down to the players position in the group. Since there are only 8 slots in a group, 81-100 is ignored. So the group leader will be 1-10, the second person is 11-20, the third person is 21-30, etc. Or, it can be devived into percentages. Three people will split up into 33%. First person is 1-33, second person is 34-66, and third person is 67-99, 100 is ignored.

Crafting: Crafting can be very expensive, I know, but I encourage guild members to craft items for fellow guild members at cost or for free. A high level character (lvl 30+) or a 400+ crafter should not have any need for the 1-2 gp they will get from crafting low level items for fellow guild members.

Guild Invitation Policy

Previous to the formation of our guild, I (Oooookla) was spreading the word and I was inviting players who I have grouped with that I think are excellent team players to join us (be it thier main or alternate character). I wanted to form a guild that will be full of team players who will help each other out and who would be willing participate in group guild events, especially for organized RvR. To me, a good player is more important than the level of the character in question. It is my sincere hope that people who have joined us with their alternates will enjoy our guild so much that they may join with their mains as well.

Many ranks in our guild have the ability to inivte other players to join us, as well as anyone who attains rank level 30. Use discretion about who you invite, and if you group with a good player, ask them to join. I discourage active recruitment from other guilds, but if you know a player well and have played with them often, send them a private tell and see if they are interested. If not thier main, then maybe their alternate will join. Once again, it's the player, not the character that is important.

Promotion is to be one of the rewards for good team playing. If someone consistently shows that they are a good player, then promote them. If you are unsure, ask the other officers for their opionion in the officer chat (/osend). Try not to be overzelous and promote them all the way up the ranks, but give them a rank that you think is appropriate (for example, a new player joins the guild at rank 9 and displays good team playing, genorosity, etc. and you would like to promote them. Give them rank 8 through 5, depending on how much you like what they have done. In the future they will probably be promoted again if they are consistent in their playing.) Demoting somone should only be done with the consent of all of the officers and should only be used in extreme cases. This will be an insult to the player, and I hope it will never happen. I imagine that a player who is demoted will probably leave the guild.
