Guild Ranks and Permissions

We have four Guildmaster's in our guild to allow for a good chance of having a GM on at any given time. They are Oooookla TheMock (Main), Dracx (Main), Careless (Main is Sofangel of the Circle of Legends Guild) and Athredana Aeronwen (Main). Guildmasters have access to all guild editing permissions and are the only ones who can promote a player to Rank 1. Ranks are one of the rewards for good team playing, so don't just promote and demote people over arbitrary issues. Also, all players who have alternates in our guild, will have their alternate characters promoted to the rank of their first joining character so they will be able to access rank permissions regardless of which character they are playing.

Ulster Duke/Duchess (1)
Ulster was the land of lore that Cu Cuchulain made his name in. The king at the time was King Conor of Ulster, his liege lord. As a Duke/Duchess you are the highest ruling class in the realm, with the exception of the King or Queen of the Kingdom. It is your duty to oversee the nobility below you and train them well in order to make a better Realm.
As a Duke/Duchess, you are the primary nobility in the guild and will have the responsibilities and permissions afforded of such prestige. All but a few guild commands are available to you and active leadership is required. Use your powers well to build a formidable guild.

Skathan Baron/Baroness (2)
Skatha was the legendary trainer of all of the Celtic warriors of Cu Cuchulain's time. It was she who taught Cu Cuchulain the art of war and how to utilize the deadly spear, Gae Bolg. As a Skathan Baron/Baroness you have been elevated to the same level of combat skill as Skatha's charges and are a noble in your own right. The Barons and Baronesses controlled large areas of territory in old Europe and ruled over several lesser Lords and Ladies. You are one of the keystones in our kingdom.

Ulster Baronet (3)
Ranked just below the Baron and Baroness, a Baronet had a smaller area to rule which generally consisted of his/her own keep and a few neighboring farms. The Baronets were often in charge of the local magistrates and enjoyed a much closer relationship with "the People". Baronets were often the leaders that the Knight Commanders and Lord Generals of the Realm reported directly to.

Lord General (4)
The Lord Generals are the Field Generals of Knights and armies. They are the one's who plan the strategy and tactics and direct the armies during wartime. Lord Generals often ruled their own keeps and perhaps a neighboring farm but spent much more time stationed at military installations than their own keeps. They are the high magistrates for local towns and villages which surround the military installations. Their station is much more a military one than the higher officers.

Knight Commander (5)
A Knight Commander is effectively a Liutenant and is directly responsible for controlling a unit of Knights. They are responsible for commanding the field units and carrying out the Lord Generals commands. Although officers in their own right, Knight Commanders generally function as the middle man between the high officers and the field units. They often function as emissaries as well and are sent out as diplomats to neighboring realms. In times of peace they usually function as police officials for the town that they are responsible for protecting.

Knight Protector (6)
Knight Protectors are Seargants and are the direct commander of field units, both infantry and Knights. They take their orders from the Knight Commanders and make sure the field units carry them out. Knight Protectors are the main disciplinarians of the field units and are responsible for maintaining order and morale of the troops. In times of peace, Knight Protectors are often sent out on quests, with a small band of Ulster Knights, to improve the kingdom and take care of brigands.
