ADVERTISING / MARKETING
I have nearly twenty years of experience successfully creating,
writing and producing high-impact work for a wide universe of
consumer and B2B clients including TV and radio spots, videos,
print ads, direct mail, brochures and catalogues, outdoor boards,
POP, newsletters, electronic newsletters, web site content, flash
emails, CD-ROM programs, pr releases, editorial, and annual
reports. Much of this experience was gained working for several
Twin Cities advertising agencies such as Kamstra Commnunications,
DBK&O, Blaisdell & Westlie (associate creative director) and my
own shop, Gerber-Housewright (creative
director), as well as the
Creative Service Department of Andersen Windows and Doors.
Among my many responsibilities was maintaining the quality of the agency's
creative product, nurturing strong agency-client relationships,
directing and supervising the work of employees as well as
outside vendors, and making concise and informative presentations
before groups large and small.

I have honed my research, interviewing, writing and editing skills
while working as a news and sports reporter for the Minneapolis
Tribune, Albert Lea (MN) Evening Tribune and the Grand Forks
(ND) Herald. I covered government and crime (sometimes
simultaneously), agriculture, healthcare, and business, as well
as amateur and professionals sporfts. My most
