The Hopewell Varsity finished the 2011-12 season with a 15-6 record which included winning the Colonial Valley Conference and the Mercer County Wrestling Tournament, and hosting the first round of Central Jersey Group 3 States. The Junior Varsity also had an outstanding season with a 21-2 record.
The Hopewell Varsity won the Mercer County Wrestling Tournament (MCT) for the fourth time in five years on January 28.
The Hopewell Varsity lost to Allentown 20-28 on January 23.
The Hopewell Varsity lost narrowly to Hunterdon Central 24-31 and also lost to Hunterdon North 18-44 on January 12.
On January 10 the Varsity won against West Windsor Plainsboro North 82-0.
On January 8, the Junior Bulldogs hosted a tri-meet against youth programs from Trenton and South Brunswick. The Jr. Bulldogs led in wins recording 32 wins of 51 bouts (63%); 16 pins; 2 technical falls, and 14 decisions.
On January 7 the Varsity posted wins against Lawrence (49-17) and Princeton (70-3) and a loss to Vorhees (15-44) in a District 17 Quad meet.
The Hopewell Varsity won a close 31-22 match over Nottingham on January 4. The JV also won decisively against Nottingham.
The Hopewell Varsity won a close match against Steinert 33-22 on December 23.
The Hopewell Varsity lost to Delaware Valley (ranked at the top of Region 2) 27-31 on December 20.
The Hopewell Varsty placed 2nd at the Christian Brother Varsity Invitational on December 17th.
The Hopewell Junior Varsity placed 2nd at the Princeton Garden State Classic on December 17th.
