T. F. and Naoma Spruill

Thomas Franklin and Naoma Martin Spruill were married July 15, 1866.
They moved to Milton County in 1890 after giving the family home to their oldest son, Stephen T. Spruill as a wedding gift.
Stephen would eventually become one of the largest land owners in Milton/Fulton and DeKalb counties.
Stephen married Mollie Lee Carter. His second wife was Ethel Warren
Thomas and Naoma had ten other children:
Almedia H., who married William Morton
Margaret E., who married Moses Barto Reeves
Ader, who married Jim T. Reeves
Millie Jane, who married Thomas W. Ferrell
Naoma, who married Pierce Beaty, 2nd husband Marion Donahoo
James Andrew, who married Clara Fields
Milton E., who died at age 2
Nancy E., who died at age 8
Charley M., who married Pearl Long
Eta M., who married George Fields

Margaret E. and Ada Spruill Reeves appear to be the only children missing from this family picture.
Thomas served in the Civil War. He enlisted in Company C., 63rd Georgia Infantry in October 1863.
His company surrendered April 26, 1865 and he returned home in May that year.
Naoma died in 1914. She is buried in the Martin Cemetery in Dunwoody.
His second wife was Mary Ingrim. She died in 1930. They had no children.
Thomas died in 1920 at age 74.
