The text to the left is from the above marker located on Peachtree Street. The marker is about 100 yards north of Collier Rd. in front of Piedmont Hospital. The picture of the fort on the far left was at this location. This picture was in the Atlanta paper with the caption "Howell's Battery in 1864" . The picture was taken with federal troops after the fall of Atlanta.
