All-boat Tournament

Attention Anglers!

We hope that you will participate in the 6th annual fishing tournament to benefit the High Point Volunteer Fire Company of Harvey Cedars (Est. 1937).
This fire company takes pride in earning most of its money from fundraisers such as: dinners, car washes, the Dog Day 5 Mile Race and a golf tournament to name a few.
We have just taken delivery of our new 103' ladder truck, and will now turn our fundraising efforts toward this apparatus. The new truck will service the needs of the fire company which works hard to fight fires and keep our community safe.
Our goal is to raise money for our new truck while having a great day on the water followed by a fish fry, awards ceremony and a good old fashioned Harvey Cedars’ Hoot.
You will have the opportunity to support the cause while enjoying a great day of fishing and community spirit.
We hope that you will join us, and as always, we appreciate any support.

Anglers with a valid registration with the National Saltwater Angler Registry or have a valid license from another exempted state are required to register
(for free) with the NJ Saltwater Recreational Registry Program.
Registration with NJ will exempt you from having to register with the National Saltwater Angler Registry.

FEES

Entry Fee $150 per boat for two anglers
$40 each additional angler
Maximum of 6 anglers (including Captain)
(Includes T-shirt for each registered angler)

* Prizes are based on 25 boats entering.
If less, enter, prizes will be adjusted accordingly.

BASIC RULES

Open tournament for boats only

Begin fishing at 3:00am Saturday, June 9, 2012

Stop fishing at 3:00pm Saturday, June 9, 2012

All fish must be weighed-in at HPVFC by truck or boat

Boundaries: Seaside Ferris Wheel to Wreck Inlet,
inshore or offshore up to three miles off beach

This is an All Tackle / All boat tournament

All fish must be caught on captain's boat and must be from rod & reel

Weigh-in time is 2 - 5:00pm (Verizon cell time)

Captains agree to donate all weighed fish for afternoon fish fry

A member from every boat must be present at the Captain's Meeting on Fri, June 8th at 7:00pm

BASIC SCORING

By weight & length as determined by current regulations of the
state of New Jersey

Prizes will be awarded to the boats catching the top three heaviest fish

Each registered boat's single heaviest fish will qualify for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in the main tournameny

Winners of prizes will be the registered owner of the boat

Only one cash prize per boat (excluding the calcutta's).

BASIC DERBY COMMITTEE

The tournament will be a rain or shine event.

The decision to fish or when to fish will rest solely with the boats and their captain.

In the event of severe weather, the tournament committee will decide on postponing the event until the following weekend by the close of the Captain's Meeting on June 8th.
