Another weekly update from yours truly. Final exams are coming, so I'm going to get busy on studying. I want good grades, so
education will be high priority. I have mapped out all my final exam dates. It looks like I will be free from cramming starting on
May 12th. May 11th would be the day of my last final exam. After all finals are done, I will start to work on the
Ultimate Rebate Tracker program and get it finished. I will have summer school to go to, and it starts on June 8th.
So many things to do over this summer. Senior design project to complete (for school), the Ultimate Rebate
Tracker to be finished, so much magazines to read through, movies to watch, games to play... Too many things to do with very
little time. The next update would probably be on May 12th, the day I'm absolutely free to do anything I want. So until then, I'm
gone.

Few things happened since last update.
- I have joined the bandwagon and moved onto firmware 2.42 for DI-624 revision C. Notable improvement that I like is the quicker
administration pages for the router. The graphics don't take its time to load. Now it loads much quicker. I have yet to test the
throughput if it changes, but everything seems fine. No problems with the 2.42 firmware.
- Ultimate Rebate Tracker development is moving at a so so rate. It took me a couple of days to realize
what I needed to do at one point, because it was a new technique to my C++ knowledge. At long last, I got it to work. I also didn't
realize that in order to run Ultimate Rebate Tracker, one must install the
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Redistributable in order to run the program. It is a 23.1 MB package to download.
I already had .NET Framework 1.1 installed on my development computer, but when I was testing the program on a different computer,
that's when I ran into the problem (getting illegal operation, the 0xc0000135), which the solution requires the installation of the
.NET Framework 1.1, a 23.1 MB download. Good thing I have broadband, as it downloaded it no time.
- New information has been included on the Ultimate Rebate Tracker page. Requirements have been released
for use of Ultimate Rebate Tracker.
School is nearly over, just less than a month left before summer hits. Still have to improve a lot of things before summer gets
here. That's pretty much it from me.

Well, it seems that school work has picked up its pace again. I have a few projects to do within the next few weeks. School is
going to end in about a month, so this isn't surprising. So that means that I'll have little time to code my
program project. I will however try to push the limits and get myself some time to code the program and get further every chance
I get. I have coded my program to use Windows XP visual style if Windows XP is the OS. Otherwise, no nice looking update to the
program.
ATI released new drivers for the RADEON series. Yea! Now it's up to Catalyst
4.4 and Multimedia Center is up to 9.0. I haven't updated yet, but will so tomorrow. Other news, D-Link released firmware 2.42 for DI-624 rev C. I haven't upgraded to it. I'm still sitting back and relaxing
on firmware 2.28 as my router isn't giving me any problems.
Well, that's it from me.

Reorganizing the engine's code was going good, until I got to the point where I was trying to think, where does all these code
fit into the GUI format. So I had to stop in the middle of porting the code over for a bit. So in the meantime when I figure out
where each of these codes go where into the GUI format, I worked on other parts of the program. I'm currently happy with what I'm
coming out with right now. But disappointed when I try to find out how this works and what I want to do, I have to spend too much
time looking around to what I need. I spend more time trying to figure out how to accomplish a task than coding it.
Well, major coding for the program is going to stop for a week. I have to give up getting this project done and study hardcore
for two exams coming up on Monday and Thursday. In the mean time, I'll touch up on the program's coding every now and then to get
the program's completion further than before.
That's all from me today. I need to get some sleep tonight and get ready for tomorrow and cram all day for an exam.

Realizing that I started scratch with the GUI, I am going to have to reorganize the rebate's engine code a bit to adapt to the
new changes I've implemented while coding the rebate form's GUI. This is going to be a lengthy process of porting codes over and
rewrite them as necessary. At least I'm not rewriting the entire engine, but just reorganizing it. There are some removed codes,
but many additions due to the newly built rebate form's GUI.
I would expect to be finished with the code porting later today, as it's my goal. I don't want to be too far behind if I don't
get finished. As of now, the newly reorganized engine coding sure looks a heck lot more organized and neater. With me porting the
code over, it's basically taking the command prompt version of the engine and convert it over to windows form version. I should be
able to get back to coding the GUI once again after I get finished porting the engine code.
Well, that's it from me, I'm going to bed. I got a long line of tasks tomorrow morning to work on. Goodnight people.

Spring semester is almost done. With a bit over one month left, there's going to be a lot of changes once that month has gone
by. Going to have to say goodbye to my friends, who'll be graduating. I'm still stuck at school for one more year left for my
degree. Sigh. Life goes on. Make new friends during the school term, lose those friends at the end. I got a couple of exams coming
up next week, so I have got to study for them to do well in the course.
In other news, there's something going on for the past week or so. I've been working on my programming project. Yes. I revived
it and currently working on it. Been programming the GUI from scratch. I didn't like the last one I did, so I started a new fresh
one. I scrapped most of the layout and rearranged a lot of things in this round of coding. The layout is beyond better than the
last one. The last one was poorly laid out.
As of now, I barely got the main window coded. Missing a lot of things because another chunk of code isn't even written yet. I
have almost finished one other main window, which is the window that will be holding the rebate's data. This window is taking up
a lot of time coding. Layout is finished. Just that I have to code for any possible GUI effects and what if's. Taking a very long
time to complete it, and I'm trying to make it bugs free, so I try to test things after I'm done coding.
Right now, I'm ways off from finishing the program, but I'm more further than I am last time, and this time around, I'm fixing
some of the mistakes I've ran into from the last time I coded. Learning a bit more as I go along, which is a good thing. I hope I
can get this finished before summer time. I wanted to finish before the start of May, but that's only if I work on this program
everyday and complete everything else and give myself no time to relax. But we will see how productive I want to be.
Only problem about trying to code the program when I get the chance is that it's almost the end of the semester. I already have
a few projects that I need to work on. Not to mention the big daddy project of them all - senior design project. Initial project
was scrapped 80% and had to turn it into a different direction, but still kept the same concept. Horrible, but it's still do-able.
It's still a challenge, but the project should be completed and successfully implemented at the end.
Well, that's pretty much from me. Main thing is, I've revived my Ultimate Rebate Tracker project and
try to get it finished well ahead of schedule.
