Well, it's a leap year's day. Well, I'll be sleeping in a moment, but just want to give one final update in February before
March comes. Why? I don't know, just that I want to kill a bit time to give an update on my website, that's all. So let's begin.
Looks like I'll just stick to my DI-624's original November 3, 2003 - 2.28 firmware. I wish there was a 2.28 binary file for
the November 3rd one, as the October 2.28 firmware can only be found on D-Link's website. There was an updated release for DI-624
firmware. It's pegged at 2.37, a version over 2.36 which caused intervals of 60 seconds interruption. 2.37 fixed the 60 seconds bug
as deemed over at Broadband Report's D-Link forum.
Although it seems that 2.37 has mix reviews. I would like to try 2.37, but since 2.28 is stable for me, I'm not risking my stable
connection, as there is no backup (no Nov. 3 2.28 firmware available to flash). Whenever it does surface, I'll take the leap. Right
now, I'm staying put.
My computer is facing some magical reboots every now and then. I can't nail it down, but it seems that it might be the latest
Catalyst 4.2 drivers. My computer hasn't rebooted until I put 4.x on my computer. I've been running the same old 250 MHz FSB
achieving 3 GHz out of my Pentium 4C without any voltage increases in anything, but it now reboots. I'm going to see if it's my
RAM before blaming ATI's drivers for stability problems. The reboots are at total random. I've upped the voltage to the RAM, as
I'm running aggressive timings (2-5-3-2). I'll soon find out if it's the RAM or not.
My spring break vacation got shot down. I wanted to drive down to Florida, but my parents won't let me. So, I'm going to most
likely stay where I am for the break and do some catch up around here instead of having fun and spending heaps of money. Well, I'm
not saying that doing some website updates and editorials isn't fun, but I sure would like to have fun with my friends before the
end of this semester, as I probably won't see them much often as they'll graduate.
My life sure changes when school is over. First elementary school, then middle/junior high school, then highschool, now
college. Next is college aftermath. Lose old friends, make new ones. But I sure like my current friends. Don't want to lose them,
but that's how life is. A renewing cycle of friends every now and then. Sigh. I always wonder if the next new set of friends will
be even better than the previous. Life is sure full of mysteries.
Well, I think that's pretty much from me. I'll be heading to sleep now, as I have two exams to take tomorrow. One of them is a
piece of cake, the other... well, it's statistical stuff. I hate it. Makes very little sense to me.

I'm not dead. Just very busy at the moment. My spring break plan looks might empty right now. So I might throw some editorials
up if I have no plans for spring break to go anywhere. But this isn't a promise, as anything can happen up till March 7th. As for
the D-Link firmware for the DI-624 rev. C router, it was up temporarily (firmware 2.36), but it was taken down due to a 60 seconds
interval disconnection bug. The firmware update didn't include the Atheros XR (extended range) as tested by some upgraders, so it
looks like I'll have to put the performance editorial based on my current router's 2.28 firmware.
Right now, I don't have much plans at all for my website, other than the very rare occasion of updates if any for the month and
the upcoming peformance editorial with my 802.11g equipments. I'll try my best to have the editorial out if I can do it, which I
think will come out sometime in March to fill up the emptiness of my website.
Well, I'm going to get me some sleep and awake many hours later to continue another round of school day. Life sucks these days.
Wasn't fun as it use to be.

Too busy to do much around here. Boy, the SuperBowl was good, the commercials were somewhat okay, although there were some
good ones. Budlight mainly dominated the humerous ones. Then there was the Janet Jackson thing. Didn't expect that. Anyhow, this
semester is beginning to ramp up, as senior design project is going to take off soon. Yes, I have to do something in the design
project. I can't sit there and do nothing. Hehehehe. I'm hoping that D-Link releases the new firmware for the DI-624 so that I
can do some benchmarks. It's suppose to increase range, but we'll see. I also noticed that with the drivers I've been using for
my G520 and G650 NICs report incorrect signal strength. It'll report it 100%, but didn't confirm it until yesterday. Didn't have
the time to confirm it, but yesterday, I had the time. Although the quality of the signal does go up and down.
Well, my breakfast and free time is up. Time to get back to school work. The never ending saga of college. Blah.
