Capital Campaign Activities

De Souza House

Our parish families are making financial contributions toward the future of Holy Spirit Church and our children's religious education through our Capital Campaign Fund.  The goal of the project is 6 million dollars.  These pledges and gifts will finance the construction of a new 4 million dollar Religious Education Center that includes the parish social activities center.  This building will be constructed on the empty lot adjacent to the Governo House and across the parking lot from the Parish Center.

The new facility will provide classrooms for the Faith Formation (previous called CCD) children, offices, meeting rooms and a social activities hall. After funeral receptions and day time socials can be hosted in the hall. The extra hall space and auditorium will provide better and more comfortable environment for adult education classes, such as the RCIA and confirmation programs. Also planned for the auditorium will be a one night a week "drop in" movie viewing time for all parishioners. No cost or registration will be required to attend these religious, secular and special interests movies.

After the Faith Formation moves into the new facility, our Elementary School will move several classes into the former Faith Formation office and classrooms, located under the New Side of the Church.  This will make room for a nurse's office, faculty lounge, resource center, more office space and room for future growth in the existing school building.

Donors may make commitments to the Campaign in the form of cash, pledges, property, securities, real estate, and planned gifts.  Pledges can be fulfilled over a five year period, in whatever increments that are most appropriate.   We are inviting people to donate $250.00 for one square foot of the building.
