Social Outreach Groups

The following ministries are open to all parishioners to join.

Community of Friends Angie Taylor	This is a gathering of parishioners with developmental disabilities, such as autism, cerebral palsy and mental retardation. Classes provide spiritual and caring support for those with special needs.
Festival Committee Janet Monteiro	The Festival Committee orchestrates the Pentecost Festival Weekend; which includes the games, food booths, entertainment, parade, and the 12:30 Pentecost Queen Coronation Mass. Many hands are needed during this weekend. Committee also hosts the Spirit Sunday reception, Fat Sunday, nine evenings of the Pentecost Novena, the sopas meal, and the gala Presentation Ball. Holy Spirit Filipino Society Daniel Zenarosa	The Filipino Society is a gathering of parishioners of Filipino descent. Group meets once a month on Sunday afternoon. Hosts a Spring dinner & dance and a New Year's Evening dinner & dance for the whole community. Members participate in the Festival Food booth at the Festival weekend. Visit their web site.
Holy Spirit Italian Social Group John Barron	The Italian group is a social club. Group meets once a month on the 2nd Tuesday of each month for a business meeting. Group hosts the Opera Night with dinner and Opera music. Members attend other social events. Group is opened to all parishioner.
Hospitality Committee Gloria Sturgeon	The Hospitality Committee hosts many of the receptions after Sunday Mass. Members pariticipate in the receptions to welcome new priests arriving at Holy Spirit and farewell receptions to priests transfering to another parishs. All parishioners are welcome to join.
Knights of Columbus Dave Reynolds	The KC at Holy Spirit is part of national fraternal organization. The George A. Coit Council No. 2692 is based at Holy Spirit. Membership is welcome to all men of the parish. Members participate in a variety of fund raising events during the year for funds for the needy of our community... Events such as the Tootsie Roll drive, Holy Spirit's Festival & Niles Flea Market linguisa food booths, and Lenten Fish Fry.
