| Instruction of
beginning students is based on the fundamentals of harp or
flute technique. A student's motivation, goals and
background are identified and the instruction level is
adjusted to that level. A solid hand
position, rudiments of music theory, effective practice
techniques, musicianship, repertoire development and
maintenance, instrument care and maintenance,
professional organization and etiquette are presented.
The goal is to provide a sense of
accomplishment to students using melodies that are at the
students level.
