We've hosted HSSW member Hester Schell discussing her seminal book Casting Revealed and we've hosted Pilar Allesandra at The Calderwood and co-hosted Marilyn Atlas at Harvard University. We kicked off 2008 with a special presentation by author and HSSW Alum Mary Trainor-Brigham talking about her book "Deep Cinema, Film as Shamanic Initiation".  From Dara Marks in '07, Barry Brodskey in '06 and Hal Akerman in '05 we've been fortunate to be visited by some of the top script consultants, authors and instructors in the world including (but not limited to) Dan Decker, Robert McKee, Richard Krevolin, Linda Seger, John Truby, Esther Lurttrel and more - the list will expand as memory permits.

You can read about Hal Ackerman here thanks to Wendy Lebron & Kristine Ocho.

And while you're here, take a look at the 1999 Mass film Commission screenwriter's competition winner, Jon West
