Ever dream about changing the way movies are written?
Well the folks at Zhura.com have gone one or two steps beyond dreaming.
They've created a website that allows screenwriters from all over the world to create screenplays in proper format, make them available for peer review, promote them and make them available to agents and producers - from all over the world.
This is a website for newbies to find out what real script formatting software looks like - no it won't make sure that the first paragraph of every scene will tell what the place looks like, who is there and what they're doing - it can't even make a writer create proper scene headings if they don't know what one is - but if you do it will make screenwriting from anywhere - anywhere - much faster and easier.
But what is remarkable is the collaborative community they are striving to develop. In this dog-eat-dog world it's nice to see communal creativity being supported (somewhere besides HSSW, of course).
So - even if you have Movie Magic and Final Draft and Script Thing and a passle of macros for Microsoft Word - check out Zhura and add it to your screenwriting arsenal - you'll be glad you did.
