In late 2006 I sifted through a few years, about $200 worth, of change to start what will someday be an incredibly valuable (projected to be worth as much as $25 when complete!) collection. Here are the quarters I have, so far:
* (need better example) The cool part was that since I had been piling up my change almost since this program began, I had essentially saved all these examples when they first crossed my path (ignoring ones I might have spent). Meaning most of them are in very sweet condition. Just like everybody else's state quarter collection... And here is my nifty "Manifest Destiny" quarter collection map. When printed on an 8 1/2 by 11 piece of paper, the quarter circles are the right size. What a great learning tool!
