PLEASE NOTE:
*Observing Sessions are for SMAS members, special guests and prospective new members ONLY!
*SMAS schedules Free Public Star Parties at various locations throughout the year. See the calendar for details.
*To schedule a Free Private Star Party, contact the SMAS Program Coordinator.
*NCEEC is a gated facility, and NCO is operated by SMAS volunteers.
*For SMAS Observing Sessions, ALL NON-MEMBERS MUST arrange to meet a SMAS member on site, to be sure that they will have access.
*The scheduling of a SMAS Observing Session DOES NOT guarantee attendance by members, regardless of the weather.
*NCEEC is a facility of the Charles County School District, therefore it is a Smoke Free, Alcohol Free, Drug Free Zone.
Public Star Parties at NCEEC/NCO:
PLEASE NOTE: Public Star Parties at NCEEC will be held "Rain or Clear," and WILL be attended by SMAS members, regardless of the weather. If there is no outdoor observing, due to bad weather, guests may take "closed shutter" tours of the Nanjemoy Creek Observatory, see indoor displays, pick up free handouts and meet the members of SMAS.

Click on any block. This will send you to the Main Page of the Nanjemoy Creek Observatory Clear Sky Clock. The site explains how to read the various features of the clock. For example, if you click on the block again, it will send you to a full forecast map, with the location of the Nanjemoy Creek Observatory highlighted.
