George Albert Hammond was born at Eliot, York County, Maine, on 3 June 1813.2,3 He was the son of John Hammond and Mary Fernald.1 George Albert Hammond married at Barnstable, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, on 18 September 1840, at age 27, Betsey Warren Huntress, age 31, daughter of William Huntress and Elizabeth Rhoda Warren.2,4,5 George Albert Hammond died on 3 January 1902 at age 88.6,2 He was buried at Mount Pleasant and Greenwood Cemeteries, Bolt Hill Road, Eliot, York County, Maine.3
