Dennis J Harmon was born at Portland, Cumberland County, Maine, on 26 August 1954.1,2 He died at his home surrounded by his family and loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer at 22 Mountain View Drive, Hiram, Oxford County, Maine, on 4 June 2004 at age 49.1,2
He attended local schools and graduated from Sacopee Valley High School in 1973. He joined his family's business, C and J Harmon Contracting Co., and worked there for many years. He also worked for several years for his uncle, Calvin Lewis, at New Hope Excavating. Many remember him as he plowed snow in the winter for many area families.
He was a former member of the Hiram Fire Department. He loved motorcycles and especially loved riding his Harley Davidson. Among his other hobbies included numerous outdoor activities including camping. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and all those that he loved.1
