LAKEVILLE -- Robert E. Hollstein, 91, of Lisa Drive, Middleboro died Saturday, Nov. 1, 1997, at Island Terrace Nursing Home. He was the widower of Beulah (Roberts) Hollstein, to whom he was married for 59 years, and was son of the late Grace (Huntress) and Gustav Hollstein.
Born in Roslindale, he lived in Holbrook for most of his life and moved to Middleboro in 1967. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church, Middleboro and the Middleboro Lodge of Masons.
He was educated in West Roxbury and worked as a galvanizer at Fore River Shipyard, Quincy for more than 20 years. He then worked as a custodian for the Town of Holbrook at Holbrook High School for 15 years until his retirement in 1966.
Survivors include three daughters, Marjorie H. Rasta of Middleboro, Grace Paltrineri of Northboro and Barbara Chapman of Chelmsford; a son, Robert E. Hollstein Jr. of Holbrook; 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
A funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 59 Peirce St., Middleboro.
