Holmes and Esther Marr.1 Albert Erving Holmes married at Rochester, Strafford County, New Hampshire, on 7 November 1901, at age 28, Clara Ellen Huntress, age 18, daughter of Frank Huntress and Matilda Ann Hull, ceremony performed by John Marter, Clergyman.3,4,5,6 Albert Erving Holmes died of diabetic gangrene of right foot at Frisbie Memorial Hospital, Rochester, Strafford County, New Hampshire, on 30 September 1935 at age 62.1 He was buried at Rochester S.      Chiron C Holmes was born at Gouveneur, St. Lawrence County, New York, on 8 June 1893.3 He was the son of Frank Holmes and Ora Campbell.3 Chiron C Holmes married at DeKalb Junction, St. Lawrence County, New York, at her parents home in 1925, Althea Correnne Farr, daughter of Atherton Winfield Farr and Margaret Huntress.1,3 Chiron C Holmes died at Edward John Noble Hospital, Gouveneur, St. Lawrence County, New York, in the morning on 15 April 1970 where he had been a patient one week at age 76.3 He was buried at Fairview Cemetery, Edwards, St. Lawrence County, New York, on 18 April 1970.3
      The couple lived in Winthrop, Massena and Madrid, where Mr. Holmes worked as a building contractor. They came to Edwards in September, 1945, and Mr. Holmes was employed by the St. Joseph Lead Co. 19 years before retiring in 1959.3 He and Althea Correnne Farr resided at Edwards, St. Lawrence County, New York, on 28 March 1957.2
