     Betsey Huntress was born at Hiram, Oxford County, Maine, on 1 March 1833.1,2 She was the daughter of John Huntress and Emma Lord. Betsey Huntress (of Hiram) married at Hiram, Oxford County, Maine, (intentions 18 Sep 1858) on 2 October 1858, at age 25, Henry Mckenney Lombard, age 22, of Baldwin, farmer, son of Calvin Lombard and Eunice Chapman, and brother of her uncle Samuel's second wife Hannah, and nephew of her uncle Samuel's first wife Eliza M. Lombard.3,4,5 Betsey Huntress died on 19 March 1905 at age 72.1

     Burleigh Huntress was born (twin) at Strafford, Orange County, Vermont, on 20 January 1792.1 He was the son of Solomon Huntress and Lucy Burleigh. Burleigh Huntress died after 1820.
      He was married twice and had a daughter Caroline, perhaps other children.

In 1838 he had a contract from the State of Illinois to build a canal about 25 south of Chicago. Burleigh was a building contractor at Belleville, Ontario, Canada.

      Carl Otis Huntress was a farmer at Shapleigh, York County, Maine.1 He "owned and operated a farm [at Shapleigh] and also worked for the Shapleigh highway department. During World War II, he worked at the Limerick Yarn Mills. After a local fire in 1947, he worked at the Maynard Pillsbury Sawmill. For 10 years, he worked at Allied Shoe in Springvale, retiring in 1975. He was a member of Shapleigh Corner Baptist Church. He built his own camper, and with his wife, spent entire summers camping throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont."2 He resided at Springvale, York County, Maine, circa 2000.6

     Caroline M. Huntress was born at Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, in 1834.2,1 She was the daughter of Joseph Lufkin Fredericks Huntress and Sarah Davis Plummer.1 Caroline M. Huntress died at Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts, on 11 May 1841.3 She was buried at Fifth Parish, Sandy Bay, Essex County, Massachusetts.4

     She resided at Manchester, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, between 1973 and 2003.1
