Tappan, age 22, daughter of John Tappan and Sarah Ann Bennett, ceremony performed by William C. Clifford, of Center Harbor, Justice of the Peace.8 Charles Frederick Huntress died of paralysis at Moultonboro, Carroll County, New Hampshire, on 29 June 1887 at age 54 years, 5 months and 7 days.1 He was buried at Lee Cemetery, Moultonborough, Carroll County, New Hampshire.9

On the 2d inst., Mr. Charles S. Huntress, of Weymouth, Mass., son of the late Trueman A. Huntress, of Quincy, hired a team of Mr. Cushing, of Weymouth, for the purpose, he said, of bringing his lady to his brother's to tea. Mr. Huntress drove to Quincy, but not finding his lady willing to ride with him, took to drinking, and ended his life by cutting his throat. Foolish fellow.3

Benjamin F Doe and Susan G Keniston, ceremony performed by Rev. S. W. Webb, of Great Falls, N.H., Pastor.5,6,7,8,3 Charles Sargent Huntress died at South Berwick, York County, Maine, on 11 July 1911 of sunstroke at age 55. He collapsed after reaching his stable at noon and died half an hour later.9

     Charles Timothy Huntress was born at Milford, Worcester County, Massachusetts, on 20 April 1840.1,2 He was the son of Darling Huntress and Ruth Foster Howard.1,2 Charles Timothy Huntress married at Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts,, on 5 January 1862, at age 21, Jeanette H. Andrews, (both) of Boston, daughter of John Andrews and Mary Ann (--?--), ceremony performed by Rev. Daniel C. Eddy, Boston.2 Charles Timothy Huntress died s.p. of wounds at U.S. Hospital, Washington, Washington County, District of Columbia, on 16 June 1864 at age 24.3,4,5 He was buried at Vernon Grove Cemetery, Milford, Worcester County, Massachusetts.6
     He resided at Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, on 5 January 1862.2 He was a soldier in the Civil War (Co. C, 1st Mass. H. A.).7 He, of Boston, clerk, age 22, enlisted in the Civil War on 7 August 1862.4,5 He mustered into Company C, 1st Mass. Vol. H. Art'y. as a private on 7 August 1862.8,5 He was wounded on 24 May 1864 at North Anna River, Virginia.4 On 20 July 1864, Jeanette, widow of Charles Huntress filed for a Civil War widows pension.7 A headstone was provided for him on 29 November 1879 in the Vernon Grove Cemetery, Milford, Worcester County, Massachusetts by D. W. Whitney.6

Spaulding, Clergyman of Salem.2 Charles Watts Huntress married, second, at Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts, on 17 November 1887, at age 43, Catharine Porter Davis, age 24, daughter of Charles H Davis and Sarah Burton Wiggin, ceremony performed by D. P. Bowen, Salem, Clergyman.3,4,5 Charles Watts Huntress died at Danvers, Essex County, Massachusetts, on 5 September 1905 of myocarditis, due to Acute Hepatitis at age 61.6 He was buried at Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts, on 8 September 1905.6

     Christian Huntress was baptized at Plympton St. Mary, co. Devon, England, on 1 August 1651.1 She was the daughter of George Huntress and Thomasen Mills.1 Christian Huntress died say 29 April 1652.2 She was buried at Plympton St. Mary, co. Devon, England, on 1 May 1652.2
