     Dyer Place Huntress was born at Barrington (Strafford), Strafford County, New Hampshire, between 16 December 1817 and 15 January 1818.7,4,5,6,8 He was the son of Gideon Walker Huntress and Mary A Kelly.5,6 Dyer Place Huntress married, first, (intentions 20 Dec. 1840) at Charlestown, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, "about" on 6 July 1841, Sarah Hayes Wasgatt, age 28, daughter of Cornelius Wasgatt and Rhoda Haynes.9,1,4 Dyer Place Huntress married, second, at Roxbury, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, on 26 October 1851, Sarah Elizabeth Bacon, age 15, (both) of Roxbury, daughter of Marshall P Bacon, ceremony performed by Rev. Mark Trafton, of Roxbury, clergyman.5 Dyer Place Huntress married, third, at Northwood, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, on 20 January 1855, Mary Evans, (both) of Northwood ceremony performed by S. P. Fernald, of Northwood, N.H., clergyman.7 Dyer Place Huntress died by drowning at Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, on 15 July 1855.10,6
      The will of Rhoda Wasgatt, widow, dated 13 Mar. 1851, proved 25 Aug. 1857, mentions her daughter Sarah H. Huntress, deceased, and children George Edwin, Charles Henry and Frederick Albert. In 1858 Stephen Keyes of Newton, Mass., was guardian of George Edwin and Charles Henry.11 He was a a carpenter and ropemaker in 1842 at Charlestown, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. He was listed as the head of a family on the 1850 Census at Roxbury, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.

E. Charles Huntress of Rotunda West, Florida, died on Thursday, May 21 at Hospice of Port Orange, Fla. Chuck moved to Englewood in 2007 from New Smyrna Beach, Fla. Prior to that, most of his career was spent in Fort Lauderdale.
He retired as the employment manager from the South Water Management District. Prior to his retirement he held Human Resources positions at Sensomatic, Unisys and Case Hoyt.
He was raised in DeKalb Junction, New York by his late mother, Dorothy Sprowls Huntress Goodale and his grandparents Earl and Bessie (Bulson) Sprowls. He received his Bachelor’s degree from SUNY at Albany, N.Y. and his Master’s degree from Cornell University.
He is survived by his sister, Viola Huntley, of Port Orange and his brother, Wayne Huntress of Philadelphia, N.Y. and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his sister, Mildred Michael, his mother, Dorothy, late of Port Orange and father, Lloyd Huntress of Dekalb Junction.
