     Frances Huntress was born at Shapleigh, York County, Maine, on 21 March 1805. "She is now living with her daughter, Miss Hannah Lord, in Cornish village, at the age of 89 years, having been a devoted Christian for more than half a century."1 She was the daughter of Robert Huntress and Hannah Wadleigh. Frances Huntress married, as his second wife, the surviving husband of her sister Elizabeth, q.v., (intentions) at Hiram, Oxford County, Maine, on 2 December 1822, at age 17, her first cousin once removed Jacob Lord, age 23, (both) of Hiram, son of Maj. Jacob Lord and Emma Day.2,3,1 Frances Huntress died on 23 April 1898 at age 93 years, 1 month and 2 days. She was buried at Riverside Cemetery, Cornish, York County, Maine, Her gravestone is inscribed:

     Francis Currer Huntress died probably young. He was born at Malden, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, on 16 February 1815.1 He was the son of Enoch Huntress and Abigail Follansbee.1

     Francis Edson Huntress was born at Boscawen, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, on 31 December 1846.1 He was the son of Gideon Walker Huntress and Ruth F Thurston.1 Francis Edson Huntress married, first, after 1864, Sarah Higgins, daughter of James Higgins and Mary S. Reardon. Francis Edson Huntress married, second, at Somerville, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, on 27 July 1899, at age 52, Abigail E Higgins, age 58, daughter of James Higgins and Mary S. Reardon, and sister of his deceased wife, and widow of Charles E. Fowles, first husband, and former wife of Reddington Feyler, second husband, ceremony performed by Horace H. Leavitt, Clergyman, 30 Adam St., Somerville.2,3,4,5 Francis Edson Huntress died s.p. On 18 October 1919 at age 72.4 He was buried at Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster, Worcester County, Massachusetts, but there is no stone marking the grave.

[2 Sep 1921, Rochester.] When at play with other boys in the rear of No. 189 Clinton avenue south yesterday afternoon, Francis Huntress, 12 years old, of No. 18 1/2 Monroe avenue, fell from a pear tree. He was removed to the Homeopathic Hospital, where he was found to have a cut under the chin.9

Frank Huntress, business man, bank official; and former state legislator, who for years had been active in Republican party affairs, died here today, aged 82 years. He was born in Lowell, Mass.
Huntress headed a chain of dry-goods stores which included the following firms: W. P. Chamberlain Co., this city and Winchester; Chamberlain-Patten, Nashua; Hillsboro Dry-goods Co, Hillsboro; Wood-Huntress Co., Clairmont; Chamberlain-Huntress Co., Fitchburg, Mass; Ross-Huntress Co., Rutland, Vt. and the Chamberlain-Foote Co , Vergennes, Vt.
He was a former president and director of the Cheshire National bank of this city and a director of the Keene Savings bank. He served in the state senate in 1913, the governor's council in 1915-'16, and the house of representatives '07, '09, 11, and '17. Three sons survive.
Mr. Huntress was a frequent visitor to Fitchburg and was well known in the mercantile trade here. Until two months ago Mr. Huntress made bimonthly calls at the Fitchburg store.10

     Frank Huntress was born at Sandwich, Carroll County, New Hampshire, on 8 June 1859.2,1,4 He was the son of Joseph Langdon Huntress and Ellen E Lucas.1,2 Frank Huntress married at Rochester, Strafford County, New Hampshire, on 17 November 1881, at age 22, Matilda Ann Hull, age 20, daughter of Asa P Hull and Sarah Ann Shorey, ceremony performed by W. W. Brown, of Gonic, clergyman.5 Frank Huntress died of throat cancer at 193 Portland Street, Rochester, Strafford County, New Hampshire, on 5 June 1930 at age 70 years, 11 months and 28 days.2 He was buried at Rochester S. S., Rochester, Strafford County, New Hampshire, on 7 June 1930.2
     Annie Estella Huntress and Frank Huntress were 5th cousins once removed. He resided at Rochester, Strafford County, New Hampshire, between 1883 and 1930.6,7,8,9 Frank Huntress was a shoemaker on 2 May 1886.10 He was described as tall with a medium build, blue eyes and black hair on 12 September 1918.11 He and Fred Langdon Huntress resided at 193 Portland Street, Rochester, Strafford County, New Hampshire, on 12 September 1918.12 Arthur Wallace Huntress and Frank Huntress were father and son, on 25 October 1928. He was listed as the head of a family on the 1930 Census at 193 Portland Street, Rochester, Strafford County, New Hampshire.
