     Capt. Ivory Huntress was born at South Berwick, York County, Maine, on 15 October 1785.1 He was the son of George Huntress and Jane Warren.1 Capt. Ivory Huntress married at Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, on 27 November 1814, at age 29, Ann Wardwell.2,3,4 Capt. Ivory Huntress died at New York City, New York County, New York, on 25 February 1825 at age 39.5 He was buried at Forest Grove Cemetery, North Lebanon, York County, Maine.1
     He resided at Biddeford, York County, Maine.6 Capt. Ivory Huntress was a master mariner.7 On 28 August 1816 he was master of the schooner Packet.7

     James Huntress was baptized at North Church, Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on 16 June 1754 by Rev. Samuel Langdon, D. D..1 He was the son of Ensign Christopher Huntress and Elizabeth Pearson.1 James Huntress (if identified correctly) died at Portsmouth, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, on 7 January 1827 drowned by upsetting a boat at age 72.2
     He resided at Conway, Strafford County, New Hampshire, in 1775 3.4 He took the Association Test at Conway, Strafford County, New Hampshire, on 9 June 1776.5 He was able to bear arms.6 He was a soldier in the Revolution from Gorham on 27 November 1779 in Capt. Alexander McClellan's Company.7 James Huntress served in the Revolutionary War as a private in the Continental Army for 6 months for the town of Newbury. He marched to camp 25 July 1780 and was discharged Dec. 20, 1780.8
