Lorenzo Dow Huntress married on 7 December 1865, at age 22, Abigail Augusta True, age 18, daughter of Solomon True and Abigail Augustus Curtis.5 Maj. Lorenzo Dow Huntress died at Portland, Cumberland County, Maine, on 8 May 1919 at age 76. He was buried at Huntress-Pratt Cemetery, Parsonsfield, York County, Maine, Inscription reads: "LORENZO D. HUNTRESS / 1st Lieut.4.N.H.Vols. / 1843 - 1919 / ABBIE A. TRUE / His wife / 1847 - 1923."6
     Lorenzo was a builder at Roxbury, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. He was an officer in the Civil War (1st Lieut. 4th N.H. Gillmore, for gallant and meritorious conduct during operations before Charleston, S. C.9,7 He mustered out on 23 August 1865.9 Maj. Edward Seymour Huntress and Sarah Augusta Gibbs.2,1 Louis Maynard Huntress married at North Congregational church, Winchendon, Worcester County, Massachusetts, Saturday evening on 17 November 1906, at age 33, his seventh cousin (John and Lydia Benjamin and also William Barsham and Annabella Bland were their 6th great-grandparents) Mary Isabel Bancroft, age 25, daughter of Charles Addison Bancroft and Nellie R Smith, ceremony performed by Charles C. Merrill, Winchendon, Mass, Pastor North Congregational church.6,7,8 Louis Maynard Huntress died at Suffern, Rockland County, New York, on 12 May 1962 at age 88.6
