Lydia Ann Huntress was born at Quincy, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, on 23 August 1832.2,1 She was the daughter of George Watson Huntress and Lydia C Watson.1 Lydia Ann Huntress married at Weymouth, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, on 13 June 1855, at age 22, Allen D. Thompson, (both) of Weymouth, son of Joseph Thompson and Priscilla Mountfort, ceremony performed by Joshua Emery, Clergyman, N. Weymouth.1 Lydia Ann Huntress died s.p. on 15 February 1920 at age 87.

Lydia Ann Huntress was born at Berwick, York County, Maine, on 1 April 1829.1 She was the daughter of James S Huntress and Eliza Hill.1 Lydia Ann Huntress married at Somersworth, Strafford County, New Hampshire, on 14 November 1851, at age 22, John B Clarke, age 26, son of James Clarke and May Richards.3 Lydia Ann Huntress was buried at Forest Glade Cemetery, Somersworth, Strafford County, New Hampshire, on 8 April 1904.1 She died of shock at Somersworth, Strafford County, New Hampshire, on 8 April 1904 at age 75.1

He was described as tall and slender with blue eyes and brown hair, no balding on 5 June 1918.1 He was employed by New York Central Co. on 5 June 1918 at DeKalb Junction, St. Lawrence County, New York.1 He registered for the draft at Gouveneur, St. Lawrence County, New York, on 5 June 1918.1 He and Arnold Vaness Huntress resided at DeKalb Junction, St. Lawrence County, New York, on 5 June 1918.1 11 August 1938 at Endicott, Broome County, New York, Lyle Huntress was state chairman of the drum and bugle corps contests.5

Lyle Huntress, 57, prominent in civic affairs of Potsdam for years and a veteran of both World War 1 and 2, died suddenly Thursday night, Sept 26, 1957 at the Potsdam hospital, 15 minutes after admittance. Death was attributed to a heart attack. He had a heart condition for the past three years.
Mr. Huntress, a native of DeKalb, during his early life at Potsdam was associated with the Vanness-Sanford Company offices. Later he served as bookkeeper for the LaMar Brothers Coal company. During World War 1, he served in the navy, and during World War 2 he was a member of the draft board of Potsdam, later entering service with the 35th Seabees battalion.
Returning home, he was office manager for a number of years for the Texas Gas Bulk Plant in Norwood, and for the past several years he had been office manager for the Gaines & Sherman Construction Company here. He had never married.
Mr. Huntress was a past president of the Potsdam Rotary Club, a past commander of the Frank Barclay Post American Legion here, a member of Racket River Lodge, F.A.M. and active member of the Methodist Church.
Mr. Huntress is survived by two brothers, Lloyd Huntress of DeKalb and Darrell Huntress of Gouverneur.

[28 Jul 1942.] Lyle Huntress, 42, of Potsdam, veteran of the first World War and member of the Potsdam draft board has enlisted in the Navy and been given the rating of paymaster, first class petty officer. He expects to be called within the next two or three months. He is well known among Legionnaires in this county. His is the son of Mrs. A. V. Huntress of Dekalb Junction. In 1917-18 he served in the navy and was discharged as a first class yeoman after the war. For five years he worked as a chief clerk on the St. Lawrence division of the New York Central railroad at Dekalb Junction, Massena and Potsdam. As soon as he is ordered for draft duty he will resign from the draft board, leaving only Charles McEllen and Dr. F. F. Williams on the board. His place will be filled when County Judge A. J. Hammer appoints his successor.6
